Jackson update

I guess I have to accept the fact that if I want to write anything in my blog it has to be done before everyone gets here. It's currently 5:48am. Our office is running in full swing by 6:30am. During the summer our hours are different. I don't mind because I get off at 3pm. It's still a long day, but it's better than leaving at 4:00 or 4:30pm....

We are having trouble with our little dog, Jackson. Even though I have come to really like him since his motorcycle accident, he is behaving worse than ever. We keep him in a pretty large kennel when we aren't home during the day unless Ashley is home and in that case, he stays glued to her side. Well, he has some how managed to break out of the wire windows on his kennel. He chewed the plastic that connects the metal and crawled out of the window. Upon doing this, he tore down the blinds in the living room and in my bedroom so he could see outside. Jackson has a bit of separation anxiety. Matt had decided enough is enough and went to petco and bought a metal kennel that he could see out of all the way around. The kennel cost $71.00 After 3 days of use, Jackson has managed to chew (don't ask me how) one of the metal wires completely off and weaseled his way out of a 4 inch hole. This was yesterday. I wasn't in a very good mood after seeing that he had pooped in the floor and rummaged through the trash that wasn't taken out that was left by the door. Today he is staying outside. I told Matt that he is a gifted dog. I swear I don't know how he is able to get out of his kennel. Matt said, "good, if we have to go to prison, we'll take Jackson so he can break us out."

I hate to say I hope he finds his way back out in the street, but dang, enough already! He has gone through 3 mini blinds in the living room, 1 in the hall, 1 in my bedroom and about 10 pairs of flip-flops. The surgery was $2,000. I'd say he's lived a pretty great life!

    Mandy,

Do what I did with Cosmo. Give him to a good friend and go visit him every once in a while.
