Canton was great. Other than being sick the whole time, I had a good time. I didn't let being sick affect my spending lots of money. I got some really great things for the house. I even brought Matt, Ashley and Jackson something. I got Jackson the cutest camo shirt. My dad has been going a little overboard with playing dress up with the dog, but that's a whole other story. We got back from Canton Saturday evening. Matt met me over at Karri's to pick me up and get the stuff I purchased.
Well, Matt had been watching the game with his dad during the day and apparently put away a few cold ones. And Allen met them at a wing place where they were watching the game to pick up Ashley and enjoyed eating wings and a beer with them. That's weird. My ex husband and my husband hanging out together. Apparently if was weird for Allen too, because Matt said he polished off his beer is 2.3 seconds and was out the door. He never was a good socializer...
So, after Matt picked me up we ran to Hobby Lobby to get some greenery for a plant stand I bought. The only reason I could tell he was a little tipsy was because he kept repeating himself over and over and wanted to pick me up off the ground. Weird, I know. But he thinks he's super strong or something. We were doing fine in Hobby Lobby until....
Matt had to pick up a ceramic soccer ball and drop it. And of course it broke. When I turned back to see what happened, Matt was looking at his hand like, "why didn't you hold onto it?" I was completely embarrassed and a little pissed too. He just walked off and left it broken in pieces. After he then almost knocked a plate off the shelf, I demanded him to wait in the car...
The rest of the night was good. We went home and I started decorating with my new stuff and Matt watched tv. He said he was going to have me a prize the next morning when I woke up and I had actually forgotten about it.
He woke me up around 8:30 Sunday morning and handed me a card. It was a beautiful card with a sweet message from him that brought tears to my eyes. After reading the card, he then said he had another surprise for me. He grabbed my hand and pulled me out of bed. I walked into the bathroom to see a bath ran complete with rose petals and candles. We took a bath together and then you can pretty much figure out what happened for the next 45 minutes or so...
That's not all. Then he cooked me a steak and corn out on the grill. It was a great brunch and a great ending to my weekend. I'm so lucky to have a romantic husband.
