I about had a heart attack today. I had gotten this pretty cute email from my friend where you cna upload pictures and make the little elves with the pictures dance, right? Well, I had been playing with it all morning putting in different people and got the bright idea to put my bosses all in there. I sent it only to the other secretaries, not to any of them. It was cute. Or so I thought anyway. About an hour after I sent it I received an email from my "big boss" who was also in the little dance gig. Here's what he said:
Subject: inappropriate email activity The technology department has intercepted a number of questionable emails recently forwarded from your computer. They indicate the last email was indicated as "elf mail". I am concerned, having spoken with you previously with regard to inappropriate email activity. Please contact Zu to set up a time where you and Sidney can meet with me concerning this issue.

After that email my heart was racing. If you don't remember, I got wrote up last year because of an inappropriate email. That email was sent to the superintendent and all board members. The Superintendent printed it and gave it to my boss and told him to "deal with me."
So yeah, I'm scared to death!!
I sat at my desk trying to think about how I'm going to break the news to Sidney that he and I will be attending a meeting because I did a bad email again. I called Zu to set up a meeting with Mike and I asked her if he had said anything about me and she said no. I wasn't even sure how he would have seen it because I had only sent it to the 3 of the girls.... Zu tells me to come in tomorrow at 10:30 to meet with Mike. Now I just had to break the news to Sid.
Right when I'm about to talk to Sidney the phone rings and it was Mike. He had me on the speaker phone and said he liked the elf mail. I was like, "you did?" "Yes, although you could have made me taller than all the other elves." I said, "are you kidding with me?" He started laughing and said, "Yes." We talked for a few and he said he just wanted to get even with me for that silly email. Of course, if you know me, you know I hate getting in trouble so I think his part was a little unfair. He said we are even now. I guess I'll leave it alone.
I got off the phone and Sidney was looking at me with big curious eyes so I had to confess to him and show him what I did. He laughed too. I had to assure him it was all in good fun!
Now everyone has been playing with the elf yourself today. No wonder it's going so slow!!
OMG! I would have died! I hate getting in trouble, too. Got reprimanded by the boss for being really, really, really late last Wednesday. Uggghhh....
Glad it was just a joke!
