I got a call Tuesday afternoon from our sitter saying Bryce woke up from his nap vomiting. She needed someone to come get him. Matt was planning to get him early anyway, so I called and told him what was going on. He got to Daisy's immediately and said he walked in to Bryce sitting in his high chair vomiting into a butter bowl. He scooped him up after his episode and Daisy cleaning him up and took him home. He said Bryce threw up twice on the way home.
Everything Matt tried to give him to drink, came up within ten minutes. By the time I managed to get home, Bryce had thrown up several more times and he was sitting in Matt's lap on the couch with one of my silk night gowns. He had thrown up on all his silkies and was crying for one so Matt gave him one of my nighties.
I walked in just in time to catch more vomit in a butter bowl. Oh, it just broke my heart. I ran to go change clothes and all he wanted was for me to hold him. I hate seeing him sick. He is just so helpless. After a few more episodes, he started to feel better.
I kept him home yesterday since he couldn't go back to school until he was 24 hours free of vomit, diarrhea, and fever. He was much better and we spent lots of time walking up and down the streets of our neighborhood with him in shorts and boots stomping in the water puddles.
Last night, Matt barely ate any dinner and said he was starting to feel ill. Then his started. All night long. Poor guy. He is worse at being sick than any kid I've ever seen... He stayed home today and said he is finally starting to feel like he is going to live.
I just hope I don't get it!!! I have a phobia about throwing up. Have not done it in years! Before I got pregnant, I had not done it since I was in kindergarten or first grade. I just can't do it. I don't know why, but I just can't. Believe me, I've tried. I've even tickled that little hangy down thing in the back of my throat when I've felt like I really needed to, but it didn't work...
Everyone's sick. Get some rest this weekend so you can be all sparkly and fresh for work on Monday. Your boss is counting on you, Mandy Gail. That's why I never get sick. Too much trouble :)
I get so mad at throw up, thankfully when I was pregnant I never threw up once, but I get so angry!!! Glad everyone is better and hoping you don't get it!
