Ashley has been hounding me about taking her school clothes shopping. She said she doesn't want to wait until the last minute like last time. I really don't like fighting the crowds when it's tax free weekend either. I would rather pay the extra than deal with bumping into tons of people and long lines at the check out.
Today we both have hair appointments. See, it's not just about getting school clothes. It's about making sure your hair is done, eyebrows waxed, new backpack etc.... It is so expensive! I used to buy her clothes when I saw them and she would say she liked them, but they would hang in her closet all year with the tags still on them so I started just giving her an amount that we would spend and let her do the shopping. I found that to work really well. I told her if I felt up to it after getting our hair cut that I'd take her for a little while tonight to the mall. I only want to make one trip and I'd prefer it be a quick one. When I walk it feels like this baby is going to fall out, and not to mention the comments I get from complete strangers. Like the ones who swear I'm having twins and think I'm about to go into labor at any minute.
I'm tempted to just give her my debit card and tell her she has 45 minutes to power shop and I'll just wait on a bench somewhere.
Oh, and did I mention the cost of her calculator for Algebra? $150!!!!
We're going tonight, too. Let's compare notes tomorrow.
