Friday evening Matt and I met some friends for dinner at BWW to watch the game. Ali and I were just going to eat then go home, but the guys were staying to watch the game. Matt got home pretty late and I was already sleeping. He surprised me staying out that late being as he had to work Saturday morning. He got up around 6:00 and worked until 10:00 or so.

I was making dinner for Jason and Karri since they were coming home from the hospital with the baby that day. After cooking, I decided it was such a great day to lay out so I asked Matt to go and buy me a layout chair. I laid out for about 3 hours and got sun burned. Ashley came home and joined me for about 3 minutes before I said we needed to get ready to go to Jason and Karri's house. She was pretty excited because she hadn't seen Tanner yet.

Oh, I almost forgot something. When I was laying out in the back yard, I noticed two birds trying to build a nest in our patio. It was the neatest thing to watch. I felt so sorry for the birds because they would take a twig up to the top of the pole and try to situate it just right and then it would fall. It made me want to go up there and do it myself for them. There is a pile of twigs on the patio now. I don't know why they won't reuse them, but they just fly off and get new ones.

After taking dinner to Jason and Karri's house, we came home and I crashed. Laying out is very tiresome. Matt stayed up watching basketball.

Sunday was eventful. Matt and put together the baby furniture. It wasn't too painful, other than putting the parts on the drawers on backwards only to find out at the very end... Matt was not very happy. Ashley came in and lended a hand with the drill making it easier for us to fix our mistake. Everything is in working order now. We put the furniture together while Ashley was still sleeping so when the huge boxes were empty, Matt stacked them right outside Ashley's door so when she opened her door they fell right into her face. He had been in a pretty annoyed mood until she came out of her room and they fell into her face. He said that made her day.

Later in the day we took Ashley to Cody's house to visit and Matt and I went over to Keath and Ali's to eat and watch Texas get whooped by USC. Poor Ali is so ready to have her baby. She read somewhere that eating pineapple can cause labor. She had the carton of pineapple half eaten by the time we left.

It was a great weekend.
